CAPITAL ALLOCATION ADVISORY

Before you commit the capital, know the answer.

We help owner-operated businesses with $3M to $30M in revenue decide whether a major investment is worth it ,and whether the business can survive getting there.

THE TWO QUESTIONS

Every major investment comes down to two questions.

  1. Is it worth it?

Does the return clear what the capital actually costs you, after the owner, the lender and the opportunity you give up?

2. Can the business survive getting there?

If sales dip or the project runs long, does the cash hold? We test the plan against a bad year before you sign.

Most owners only ask the first one. We answer both, in writing, with a clear Yes, Not yet, or No.

Our five lenses

Every decision goes through the same five

tests, in a base case, a downside and a

stress case.

  1. Cost of capital : What the money really costs, including your own.

  2. Return on capital: Whether the investment earns more than the cost

  3. Decision underwriting: The assumptions behind the plan, and how solid they are.

  4. Survivability: Whether cash holds up if things go wrong.

  5. Timing and structure: When to commit ,and how to stage or structure it.
